Our staff at each of our locations combine education and experience from many disciplines, all focused on our commitment to bring you the quality training and education you desire. Fairfax Campus Main Office Fairfax Campus Main Office Janet Niblock, Executive Director Janet Niblock is the executive director for the Office of Continuing Professional Education. She has been with George Mason since 1994. She brings to this position over three decades of experience in all aspects of continuing education program management to include: analysis, design, marketing, delivery, and evaluation. She has also made extensive presentations and provides consultive assistance to organizations with a special interest in adult learning theory, program design, training technology, and needs analysis. Her leadership is focused on the delivery of superior customer service and quality instructors and programs, accomplished through an internal team approach and an emphasis on external outreach networking and collaborations. Maureen M. Danforth, Director Maureen has been with George Mason since 1989. She is the director of OCPE's Fairfax office and has been in this position since 2000. Maureen has extensive experience with contract credit policies, issues and processes and works closely with George Mason's academic units. She holds a bachelor's degree from Florida Southern College and a master's degree in education leadership from George Mason. Pamela Novick, Fiscal Manager Pam has been with the university since 1990. She is the fiscal manager for OCPE. In this capacity, she is responsible for the ongoing financial account management of OCPE. Pam works closely with the Budget Office, Office of Sponsored Programs, other university academic departments, as well with the University Fiscal Services: General Accounting, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Student Accounts and Cash Office. If you have any concern regarding fiscal venues, Pam is your best contact. Rosalynn Dhramapitaksook, Special Program Coordinator The OCPE team welcomed Rosalynn in March of 2007. Rosalynn is no stranger to George Mason; she received her degree in communications from the College of Arts and Sciences. She has interned with New Century College's Horizon Camp and has worked at a local high school as a tutor for the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program. Rosalynn also brings with her a great deal of experience in customer service. Rosalynn handles marketing for OCPE and coordinates OCPE's Gatlin and Tech Advance courses. Michele Reasinger, Systems Administrator Michele has been with OCPE since December of 2000. Prior to joining OCPE, Michele worked for the Office of Adult Continuing Education at the University of Pittsburgh in Bradford, Pennsylvania. She received her BA in public relations with a minor in business management from the University of Pittsburgh in May of 2000.
Suzanne Hough, Program Coordinator Suzanne Hough joined the OCPE staff in November 2003. As program coordinator, she is responsible for the administration of non-credit contract courses for the School of Public Policy, the School of Social Work, School of Music, and other programs as needed.
Jean Novick, Webmaster Jean joined OCPE in July 2005. She received her undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Virginia. After receiving her degree, she worked for the University of Virginia and the U.S. Department of Transportation. In May 2007, Jean earned her JD from George Mason University. Please feel free to contact Jean with any questions or comments about the OCPE Web site. Lindsay Walker, Program Coordinator Lindsay has been with OCPE since April 2006. Prior to working at George Mason, she was a conference coordinator for Longwood University's Office of Conferences and Scheduling. She received her undergraduate degree in communication studies, with a minor in graphic design from Longwood University.
Jane Riley, Fiscal Assistant Jane is the fiscal assistant for OCPE Fairfax. Her main focus is the fiscal processing of contract credit courses. In this capacity she works closely with outside and internal customers. She also is responsible for the office day-to-day fiscal duties. Jane brings experience with appropriated and non-appropriated funds accounting from the federal government to this position.
Herndon Training Center at CIT Cynthia Huheey, Director Cynthia Huheey joined the OCPE staff in June of 2007 as director of the Herndon Training Center located in the Center for Innovative Technology building near Dulles Airport. Prior to George Mason, she served as the president of Education Alliance, LLC; executive director of The Women's Center in Vienna; president and CEO of the American Resort Development Association; and various other positions with trade associations and professional societies. She holds a bachelor's and a master's degree from Purdue University. Christine Satorre, Program Manager Christine Satorre joined the OCPE staff in November of 2005. Christine received her degree from the University of Florida in business administration with a specialization in mass communications. She came to George Mason as the contracts coordinator but later transitioned into the role of open-enrollment program manger in October 2006. She is responsible for new program development and management of current open-enrollment programs offered from the Herndon location. Liz Burns, Fiscal Coordinator Liz Burns is the fiscal coordinator for OCPE Herndon. In this capacity she is responsible for the day-to-day fiscal processes for both open enrollment and non-credit contracts offered through the Herndon location. Liz has been with OCPE since the summer of 2006. Lee Bennett, Marketing Coordinator Lee is the marketing coordinator for OCPE's Herndon training center. Her responsibilities include all marketing aspects for the open enrollment programs such as direct marketing campaigns, Web site content, industry specific trade shows and is the editor of OCPE's monthly e-newsletter. Susan Stinson, Contract Training Coordinator Susan joined the OCPE team in December 2006. She received her bachelor of arts degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in communication arts. Susan has been involved in education for 15 years, both as a teacher and as an administrator. Now, as the contract training coordinator, Susan assists organizations with their professional training and development needs by bringing our programs to them. Edna Sergio, Program Coordinator Edna joined the OCPE team in May 2006 as a George Mason University student employee on part-time basis. After graduating in December 2007 with a degree in management, Edna became a full-time program coordinator. As the program coordinator, Edna works primarily with the open enrollment programs offered through OCPE's Herndon office. Kathy Zellars, Program Assistant Kathy is the program and office assistant for OCPE Herndon. She joined the team in March 2008 and supports a staff of six. Prior to joining the OCPE staff Kathy worked for the Communication Department at the University of Texas in San Antonio. She received her undergraduate degree in business and management from the University of Maryland. Kathy works closely with the program coordinator and brings a great deal of administrative experience to this position. Catherine M. Hoover, Director Kitty Hoover has been involved in continuing education for 35 years. She began her career in the community education program at the Northern Virginia Community College in 1969 and was there until 1984 when she joined the Division of Continuing Education at George Mason. Prior to her current position as director of the OCPE Office at the Prince William Campus, she served as business manager and subsequently director of conference administration. She has extensive experience in all aspects of continuing education programming. Her focus at the Prince William Campus is to facilitate and develop professional development programs (both credit and non-credit) which complement the university's strengths at the campus. She holds a bachelor's degree from George Mason and a master's degree in adult and continuing education from Virginia Tech. Carol Stockman, Program Manager Carol Stockman has 20 years of experience at George Mason; 10 years as assistant to the director of IOA, and three years in the Office of the VP for Finance and Planning. She started her career here at the university as assistant to the director of Fenwick Library. She joined the staff of OCPE in the fall of 1999 as program coordinator. She works closely with the director in all programs and program development at the PW campus. Jeanne Spencer, Program Manager Jeanne Spencer joined our staff in the spring of 2004 as a program coordinator for the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) certificate program. Assuming the position of program manager the following year, Jeanne currently handles the scheduling and development of all GIS classes and instructors. In addition to negotiating and administering contracts for off-site classes, she works closely with open enrollment students to ensure an efficient and pleasant educational experience. She received a BA in education from Clemson University and has a strong career background in sales. Zikeya Basnight, Fiscal Coordinator Zikeya Basnight is the fiscal coordinator for OCPE Prince William. In this capacity she is responsible for the day-to-day fiscal processes for both open enrollment and non-credit contracts offered through the Prince William location. Zikeya has been with OCPE since the fall of 2002. Joy Roach, Program Coordinator Joy Roach has been with OCPE since June 2006. Prior to joining OCPE, Joy worked in the Admissions Office at SUNY Ulster in Upstate, New York as coordinator of enrollment management. She has her associate's degree in individual studies from SUNY Ulster in Stone Ridge, NY and attended the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY as a public communications major.
