Lisa Anderson, CPA, has worked for over 20 years in the specialized areas of government contract cost accounting and compliance. She has worked with small and medium sized firms providing financial outsourcing solutions ensuring companies are compliant with FAR, DFAR, CAS and other contractual requirements. Having worked as Controller and Chief Financial Officer for area firms, Anderson has been successful in providing companies with the financial guidance necessary to ensure financial growth and success.
Anderson’s specific experiences include developing indirect rate structures, developing compliant policies and procedures, evaluating internal operations, developing cost and pricing strategies and assisting with DCAA and other governmental audits. As a business owner, Anderson has a well rounded understanding of the challenges faced by organizations. Her responsibilities cover marketing, sales, financial management, accounting, policy development, and implementing new procedures for maximum operations quality control and efficiency.
Anderson is a member of the National Contract Management Association and the American Small Business Coalition and an Alliance Partner with the Prince George’s County Small Business Initiative and Deltek Systems, Inc.
John Blair has over 25 years of experience in government contracting. Mr. Blair has worked with a wide array of clients including the U.S. government, state and municipal governments, and special entities such as the Delaware and Susquehanna River Planning Commission. For the past 14 years he has been an employee of Deltek, Inc., where he has served as a senior consultant overseeing implementations for Costpoint and Vision products. He is currently a senior instructor at Deltek.
Prior to joining Deltek, Blair worked as a CFO and controller for a local 8A company, controller for the American subsidiary of a major European small arms manufacturer, and a cost analyst for a defense contractor. In these positions he has was responsible for implementing and maintaining the integrity of the accounting systems, contract negotiation, and the preparation of incurred submissions and disclosure statements.
Marjorie Chiles has been in government contracting for 13 years. Her background knowledge in government contracting covers timekeeping compliance, accounts payable compliance, DCAA audit liaison, and FAR and CAS regulations. Since 1995, Ms. Chiles has been involved in bringing three cost accounting systems online and three electronic Time Collection Systems online to manage over 4,000 employees. As a DCAA liaison, Chiles works directly with government auditors to manage all audits across three business segments for a major government contractor in the northern Virginia area.
Ron Crowe has been working in the world of government contracting for 25 years. He was a division controller for a large defense contractor for 10 years, then worked for 10 years as a general system consultant for Deltek Systems Inc., specializing in assisting government contractor clients. Mr. Crowe was one of the developers of the original training manuals and materials used in George Mason University’s Contracting with the Federal Government certificate series. Teaching the program since its inception seven years ago, Crowe is a certified technical trainer. He also led a Government Contracting Solutions group at Deltek. Crowe has recently been working as a consultant to government contractors on compliance issues and Sarbanes-Oxley matters.
Linda Diaz brings with her over 20 years of professional experience and more than 10 years in federal contracting. Her knowledge extends from timekeeping compliance, labor, leave, payroll, human resources and accounts payable. Since 1988, she has developed the knowledge to create policies and procedures manuals to better assist in business practices for the user environment. Ms. Diaz has extensive experience with Deltek Software in the areas of Costpoint, GCS Premier and Time/Expense. Diaz’s skill set includes a complete knowledge of all aspects of Payroll and AP processing. This 360 degree knowledge gives her a solid edge with implementations and she has acquired a high level of functional expertise. She is currently working as a systems consultant to government contractors.
Jack Fisher has more than 35 years of experience in the world of government contracting. He has ten years of service with the Defense Contract Audit Agency providing a base for his career, which ranges from time spent as the national contract manager of a Big 4 public accounting firm, to service as the SME for federal government matters with an international telephone company, to his current role as senior manager of regulatory compliance matters for a global communications firm. In addition, Mr. Fisher has been a controller for a medium-sized manufacturing organization, an independent consultant in government regulatory matters, and has lectured on numerous topics related to government contracting. Fisher was a member of the Deltek team that developed the Contracting with the Federal Government courses for George Mason University - OCPE. Fisher has a degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, graduate work at Frostburg University, and is a certified technical trainer.
Marc Salko has more than 20 years of experience in the world of government contracting and auditing. He has held positions in accounting, finance, program control, pricing and business operations for a range of top Fortune 50 corporations. He currently works for a major defense contractor serving as the Sr. Director of Compliance and Government Accounting interfacing with DCAA and DCMA on a daily basis. Mr. Salko also has the lead role in administering SOX for the division working with internal auditor Pricewaterhouse Coopers. He has a strong background in FAR/CAS/GAAP with working knowledge in preparing incurred cost submissions, systems auditing, and rate negotiation. Salko has led integration teams implementing new pricing, accounting, and billing systems. He has written course work for training in allowability, disclosure statement preparation, and travel. Salko has a BS and an MBA from Averett University, Danville, VA with concentrations in accounting, finance, and marketing.
