FMP Finance and Business Essentials Course Materials- Online & Workbook

Course Description

Facility managers manage/oversee high-value assets that represent significant financial investment in technology, buildings, structures, interiors, exteriors and grounds. Since facility managers are typically responsible for the oversight, operation and maintenance of the buildings and grounds, as well as oversight of various service contracts, understanding the basics of finance and business is critical.

FMP Credential Requirements

The FMP credential is awarded by the International Facility Management Association. Upon successful completion of the four required courses, participants will need to apply to IFMA to complete the credential application and pay associated fees for the awarding of the credential. Participants successfully completing individual courses will receive an IFMA certificate of completion. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded by George Mason University.

Successful completion of the following IFMA courses is required:

  • FM 0705: Operations and Maintenance
  • FM 0710: Project Management
  • FM 0715: Finance and Business Essentials
  • FM 0720: Leadership and Strategy Essentials
