The George Mason University Facility Management Certificate Program is an International Facility Management Association's Recognized Certificate Program. As a result, students may use coursework completed through Mason to fully satisfy the requirements for the Facility Management Professional (FMP) designation from IFMA. The following four core courses will satisfy the requirements:
FM 100: Principles of Facility Management
FM 115: Operations and Maintenance Management
FM 105: Facility Planning and Design Management
FM 215: Theories of Facility Management
The FMP application must be completed and submitted directly to IFMA per the instructions. Students may use either grade letters received from the program office, or a copy of their official non-credit record obtained from George Mason's Office of the Registrar, as documentation that the four required courses have been completed.
