In cooperation with the American Payroll Association, George Mason University presents the Payroll Professional Certificate for payroll professionals. Comprised of two professional development courses, Payroll PayTrain® Fundamentals and Payroll PayTrain® Mastery, this program is designed for all levels of payroll administration. Whether you are interested in preparing for the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification exams, or are new to the industry and need to learn the basics of payroll, our courses will help you meet your goals.
Payroll Professional Certificate is the American Payroll Association's payroll professional development and certification exam preparation program. Serving the entire payroll community, this program is ideal for seasoned professionals interested in advancing their careers or sitting for a certification exam, as well as for new hires seeking an understanding of the industry. Enrollees in the program receive live and online classroom instruction, textbooks, and access to interactive online games and applications to reinforce topics learned.
Using Blackboard, a web-based set of course tools designed to deliver online learning, you will be part of a virtual class that will provide a thorough review of the learning system. You will follow a weekly schedule and interact with your instructor and peers in a virtual environment. This blended course offers flexible scheduling through the online components, while giving you the benefits of attending scheduled “live” class sessions, with instructor and peer interaction. Several sessions will be scheduled to meet live, with the option to teleconference (call) in if you are not in the local area.
