Payroll Professional Certificate: APA's PayTrain® Instructors

Payroll Paytrain® Fundamentals Instructor

Linda Dailey, CPP has been in the payroll field for over 17 years and has worked most of her career for a government contractor. Dailey is very involved in the American Payroll Association. She serves as the Education Committee Co-Chair for the Washington Metropolitan Area Chapter. She also oversees the chapter’s study group that helps payroll professionals study for the CPP exam. Dailey has been teaching George Mason University’s payroll courses for over three years. Dailey is very dedicated to helping payroll professionals advance in their careers through holding APA’s certifications.

Payroll Paytrain® Mastery Co-Instructors

Lori Brown, CPP brings a broad range of experience to CACI where she is the Senior Payroll Manager. She has over 15 years of experience in payroll, accounting, government contracting, benefits accounting, time and attendance, payroll tax compliance, and payroll systems conversions.

Brown has been an active member of the American Payroll Association (APA) since 2002. She currently serves on the Payroll Hotline Committee, the Government Affairs Task Force, and the Certification Advisory Group. She has received Citations of Merit from the APA in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Brown is also an active member of the local chapter of the APA, the Washington Metropolitan Area Chapter (WMAC). She served as the WMAC President-Elect during 2006, as well as holding the Education Committee Chair position from 2005 to 2006. She is currently a board member and the National Payroll Week Committee Chair. Since 2004, Brown has shared her knowledge with other payroll practitioners by teaching CPP/FPC exam preparation classes, and she volunteers with the WMAC Study Group.

Online Instructor

Tammy Webster, MSAC, CPP is the assistant vice president of accounting and administration for a not-for-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. In this capacity, Webster has overall responsibility for oversight and management of accounting and administrative functions.

Webster has over 16 years experience in accounting in the not-for-profit area. She holds a BS in business management and a master’s degree in accounting with a concentration in information systems. As a certified payroll professional, she has also served as adjunct faculty in the continuing education area for several colleges and universities in the metropolitan area.
