This nationally recognized Microsoft Vista Business online training course contains three modules with multiple lessons in each. Students need to achieve 70% of all possible points to be able to continue on to the following module. This course also includes a final project which must be completed and submitted to the instructor. Students will need to have Microsoft Windows Vista installed on their computer prior to taking this course. This program is offered in partnership with Gatlin Education Services.

Elizabeth Ann Nofs
Elizabeth Ann Nofs is co-founder and creative director for Comma Project, LLC. Her research on how men and women approach computer learning provided the foundation for the Comma Method of training, as well as The Computer Mama Show, a pilot produced by WFUM/TV28 (PBS), Flint, Michigan.
Elizabeth is the designer and developer of the Complete Computer Guide series. The teaching methodology incorporated into the Guide is a breakthrough in producing gender balanced training with outstanding student completion, retention, and mastery rates.
She is the author of 38 computer certification guides including: The Complete Guide to Microsoft Office 2007 (2007), The Complete Computer Guide (2005), The Comma Method of Computer Training (2003), and The Comma Teachers Edition (2003).
Elizabeth received her BA in biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
Clair E. Dickson, Student Services
Clair earned her BS in secondary English at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan and is certified to teach English and history at the high school level. She also meets all of the standards for teaching with technology as outlined by COATT (Consortium for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching with Technology). Clair is considered "highly qualified" to teach computer courses, including Microsoft Office® 2003 and 2007, Windows XP® and Windows Vista®.
Clair Dickson is currently working on a master's degree in educational media and technology through Eastern Michigan University's online distance learning program. The program explores ways to infuse technology into the learning experience so that learning is interactive.

This course cannot be taken on a Mac computer. Technical requirements include but are not limited to having Internet access with a 56K modem, but it is highly recommended that students have DSL or high speed cable Internet access; 64 MB system RAM; 200 MB free hard disk space memory or sufficient storage; reliable e-mail account access, CD-ROM/DVD capabilities, and a reliable Internet provider.
Students will need the following products already installed on their computer prior to taking this course: Windows Vista Business edition, Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version), and Flash Player.

3. Why do I have to take Gatlin courses through a participating school?
That is the only way Gatlin Education Services offers its courses. They do not deal

4. Do I have to travel to register for or to attend a Gatlin online course?
All Gatlin courses are delivered entirely online, so you do not have to go to a

5. How long does it take to complete a Gatlin course?
All of our Gatlin courses are asynchronous. You can start and finish the course at
your own pace. Most courses are designed to be completed within 180 days. You may request an extension if you think

6. Do I have to buy additional materials?
Please refer to the green Included Materials box located on the upper right hand side of this page. If materials are included in this course, they will be shipped by Gatlin to you via UPS ground service after you have registered for a course.

George Mason University offers financial assistance through the Sallie Mae Training

8. What happens when I complete the course?
If you obtain a final passing grade of 70% or greater in a course, we will award you
a George Mason University certificate of completion.
9. Who will be my instructor?
Each student is paired up with a George Mason University, OCPE, Gatlin facilitator for one-on-one interaction. The facilitator will be available (by e-mail or by telephone) to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance. All of our facilitators are successful working professionals in the fields in which they teach.
10. What are the system requirements in order to take an online course?
